Three ways to get started
This instructor passed a criminal background check.
I have been playing drums for over a decade now. Growing up in New Orleans, La I started playing drums at the age of 12 where I had my first lesson from my stepfather. In middle school, I joined the marching band and continued that all the way through college. While still attending college Hurricane Katrina hit and it was then I decided to make my love for drumming a career. Therefore, I packed up and moved to the “City of Angels” where I just finished my second degree in contemporary music performance, from the Musicians Institute. I love drumming because it instills character and hard work and at the same time invokes passion and movement in not only myself but also others. Below are some of my credentials. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Goal Statement: I want my students to not only learn how to play the drums, but also form an appreciation for the art of music. I hope that by sharing my knowledge of music and drumming with them, I can help them be the best players that they can be.
Teaching Style: I am fairly laid back in teaching style and I am willing to work with and accommodate all of my students, although I do expect effort to be put forth by the student. I am willing to work as hard as I can to make a student the player that they want to be, and I want my students to feel the same way.
Curriculum: This curriculum will not only cover basic techniques and reading which are fundamental for a students learning. It will also incorporate: the individual needs of each student , what the student is most interested in and the goals they would like to reach.
Some styles and topics included are:
-Your Needs
-Rock
-Jazz
-Funk
-Hand technique
-Double Bass
I want to be able to share my passion with other people and help students be successful in drumming. I believe that although drumming is hard work, it is also extremely fun and a great thing to learn. Above all, I want my students to have fun while learning how to drum and I hope to be the person that makes it fun.
All genres of music with a strong emphasis on practice habits and musicality.

I have known Chad for a year and a half -- during his enrollment
in Musicians Institute's PIT program. During this short period of time,
I have seen a Chad that is dedicated to his studies, respectful of
others and truly interested in progressing as a person and musician.
He would be a positive mentor to anyone interested in drumming.
