About SwimAmerica

SwimAmerica was developed in 1988 and is The Learn-To-Swim Program of, by and for the American Swimming Coaches Association. ASCA coaches are in a position to identify the best available technology with which to teach learn-to-swim. All SwimAmerica programs are operated by ASCA Level 2 certified coaches. SwimAmerica is nationally recognized as an equivalent to Red Cross and YMCA and recognized by swim professionals as the "State of the Art Lesson Program".

Unlike most traditional swim lesson programs that require a student to remain in a particular level for the duration of the session, SwimAmerica employs a station method of teaching that enables students to progress at their own rate based upon skill attainment levels. Our unique award system rewards a student each time a new level is attained.
