General Guidelines

Because people of all ages have passions they want to get involved in, we are a family oriented website – meaning: any language or imagery inappropriate for children is strictly forbidden. If you don't know if your content is appropriate, it probably isn't. When in doubt, see our Terms and Conditions. Just ask yourself: What would Grandma say if she saw my profile, or read my email?

Please play nice! This site is about connecting with people who share your passion, but since we are a community of diverse people you should be open to giving and receiving constructive criticism. Just remember to please be courteous and respectful, this means no name-calling, fighting, no defaming members, and no slandering; basically do not be a jerk. Everyone wants to be treated with respect, and showing respect to others makes the community better for all members. Also, do not treat staff members poorly. This will get you booted off the site.

Sending unsolicited advertisements or repeat bulk-style communications anywhere on TakeLessons.com is not acceptable and will be cause for a permanent ban from the site!

Members are not permitted to create more then one user profile unless they get permission from site administrators first. If you see users with multiple profiles please report them to info@takelessons.com.

We work very hard to keep our community as safe as possible, but this still is the internet. Please do not encourage others to post personal information publicly. This includes e-mail addresses, instant messenger IDs, addresses, phone numbers or bank account information.

Finally, you are primarily responsible for your interactions with other members. Please act maturely and kindly. If you have an issue that you cannot resolve please contact us at info@takelessons.com. If you have any concerns or problems with any other users, the proper action is to contact us. Two wrongs still don't make a right, so don't retaliate or send improper responses at anytime, instead please contact us.

Breaking the law

You are not above the law, so don't post anything that violates the laws of your country, state, province, or city. Don't try to trick people into sharing their personal information. Don't post links to sites that contain viruses or malicious programs or that interfere with the operation of the site.
