My son Jesse, age 6, has wanted to play drums since he was 2. We (Santa) got him a small drum set for Christmas and he loves to play and now wants to take some lessons. Do you take kids that young? And what do you charge? Where do you give the lessons?

i really want to play the drums. i am an adult and have never had any lessons or experience playing the drums except air drumming in my apartment. (i used to play upright bass in junior high but was certainly not a prodigy) i have no professional aspirations i just really want to learn the basics. i am a visual artist and kind of just want to learn a physical skill that gets my mind thinking in a different way. does this make sense?

my 10 year old son just started playing the drums at church
he needs to feel the music when hes playing , he also has to learn to use the base drum , and when to do some combinations
saturday between 10 am to 5 pm

I recently stopped taking lessons with my drum teacher in Staten Island, because it was really difficult to travel to his house, so I was hoping to be able to take lessons somewhere in Manhattan where I go to school, as that would make things significantly easier for me.

So right now, I'm kinda looking around for drum instructors and price quotes and suchlike around Manhattan
