About classical guitar lessons

The Classical Guitar (sometimes called the Spanish Guitar) is the father of the modern day guitar. Normally the classical guitar is played with the fingers and uses nylon string and a wider fretboard to allow for more complex fingering positions. The Spanish guitar has a beautful rich tonal quality and, with proper technique, it creates an earthy yet romantic sound. Most instructors will teach you how to read classical guitar tabs, proper classical guitar technique, spanish guitar scales, and will help you if you are looking at buying a classical guitar. Check back here often as soon we will be posting articles such as "How Do I choose a Classical Guitar", "Easy Classical Guitar Music" and "Classical Guitar Tabs".

I'd like to potentially purchase lessons for my son. He is in middle school and is out of class at about 4:15 on Tuesday and Friday and at 3:15 on Wednesday. He is available after 5 on Monday and Thursday. I would rather not have lessons on the weekend, so please tell me your availability based on the information I provided. I need to purchase a guitar, too, and would like some advice on that. I think once per week is plenty, if that is reasonable. He is already quite busy with other activities

R,

I am looking to learn how to play Spanish Guitar. I am a beginner at 34 years old. I am looking for a teacher with fun, laid back, patient personality. I have a regular acustic guitar. Should I purchase a classical guitar before beginning? One of my influence is Enrique Coria. I am a chef by trade and work well with my hands. I have a girft certificate for a music school (4 hours) that I am using up the rest of the year but would be interested in trying lessons with you mid Janurary
