Jacob L. Voice, Music Theory San Francisco, CA

Jacob received a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Leroy Kromm and Jane Randolph.  For the past six years he has sung professionally in the Bay Area in Opera, Oratorio and Chorus.  In addition to teaching a range of techniques from Bel Canto to popular singing, he specializes in teaching sight reading, music theory and beginning keyboard skills for singers.

First and foremost, lessons should be fun.  I am a naturally outgoing, friendly person and genuinely enjoy teaching.   I have been blessed with extraordinary teachers myself, and I am committed to passing on my knowledge to others.   My personal teaching style is relaxed but firm.  Nothing worth learning can be acheived without work.  I work with each student to set small, reachable goals in order to build confidence.  As lessons proceed, I encourage the student to expand those goals.  I integrate into each lesson aspects of music history, music theory, and vocal musicianship to fulfill my goal of traning the singer as a complete musician.

Beginning Piano- Frances Clark Method Books; standard scales and arpeggios
