I've been working with WRAP, an after school program, based in Long Beach for a year and a half now. There I teach 15 students a day, the art of video production as well as musical composition and arrangements on software. Arts in general is very dear to me, I have fifteen years performing instrumental, classical, baroque and soundtrack music. I have an AA in Music Performance from LBCC. There, I soloed for the Wind Symphony for 5 years under the direction of Brian Hamilton.
I'm currently working on a BA at CSUDH for Music Technology in the field of Digital Media and the Arts. I'm also playing with the University's night band under the direction of Dr. Kravchak. I have always felt that arts should be more embedded in public institutions with a stronger focus in artistic career outlooks. As a teacher, I will make sure you take it a step further and achieve more than what you expect of yourself as a student.
One of my strongest skills is performance quality. Which is a combination of skill, effortless playing, illustrous tone quality, physical stance and confidence. In general, I feel I'm well rounded in the arts and I will help you manage and coordinate your time to become a great performer.
After meeting with student for the first time, I will generate lesson plans to fit the student's needs and learning habits. My teaching style is Authoritative and Engaging. I create comforting atmosphere, indulging the student to focus with ease and perseverance.
