Brian has been a studying, performing and recording drummer for over 20 years throughout the valley. He has offered his creativity to a handful of original projects during his time, most recently with acclaimed songwriter Jennifer Greer with whom he recorded on her latest album "The Apiary". Brian is currently teaching private lessons under the name “Creative Drums” and is accepting new students at this time.

The style of teaching that Brian employs is one where traditional playing stlyes are met with more modern styles. Brian has an astute understanding of drumming styles from March, Concert, Jazz, Rock, Blues, Latin, African and others.  Brian also plays with local favorite SDRUM and is expected to retain a high energy level for several hours during a show  bringing his unique stylings while adding precision, dynamics, power and crafty improvisational skill. The methods Brian uses are from some of the top provendrumming publications while also using many self-written exercise that have come from catering lessons to specific students.

Students will learn basics and how that applies to a drumset in a musical setting while always having fun in a relaxed environmnet. Brian is a also a songwriter and has recently finished an album of original pieces where he played a majority of the instruments. This knowledge of music is extremely helpful to all students in learning how to play in a cohesive unit and how to be aware and sensitive to fellow players.
