As a son of a musician, I have been around music my whole life. My father was a professional musician and my first true teacher. I began to study Classical music at an early age and by 13, had fallen in love with Jazz. I went on to study with acclaimed pianist Mike Garson until I began my Undergraduate Degree at the University of Miami. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Business and Entertainment Industries while continuing my Classical and Jazz training under professors Teresa Escandon and Jeff Laibson. During my Undergraduate Degree, I studied all aspects of music, from theory and harmony, counterpoint and history of music, to composition, arranging and orchestration. Along with music business classes ranging from publishing to copyright law, I developed my musical skills as well as my knowledge of the music business. Wanting to focus more on composition, I obtained a Master's Degree in Media Writing and Production; a program geared towards the writing, arranging and producing of music for radio, television and film.

This love of music led me to open a recording studio catering to all of Miami. Recording sessions vary from Voice Over Talent to instrumental ensembles of distinct genres. Although composing and recording music is a passion of mine, teaching music remains a priority. I have been fortunate to have studied with wonderful musicians and am always eager and excited to impart that knowledge to new students.

Throughout my life, I have enjoyed listening and playing all styles of music and encourage my students to do the same. Having been influenced by different genres, ranging from Pop to Rock, to Rap and R&B, I consider myself a versatile musician able to teach the fundamentals of music while demonstrating how they apply to various styles. Having a recording studio as my teaching environment affords me the opportunity to offer my students the necessary space to rehearse and or record in the case of an impending audition or performance.

I am a laid back person and believe that music is one of the most beautiful and inspiring gifts we have. I believe every person, regardless of age, should play music as a way to express themselves and as a way of enjoying art and its many benefits.

Patient, understanding and encouraging, I make the process of learning music fun, entertaining and always enjoyable. Whether you want to learn how to play, compose, or both, I believe that practice and patience is the only way of improving. Lessons include an emphasis on developing technique, learning theory and harmony, reading and writing music, and learning pieces and songs in various styles.
