My whole life has been a developing love for music. I started off quite young, singing in church. Soon I joined the school band, joined the school and church choir and I realized what I wanted to do with my life! I have been teaching for eight years (the majority of that while in school), two of which have been in a public school teaching setting.

My love for all different styles and genres of music offers a wide range of possibilities for any student. Whether you're looking to just start learning about music or whether you want to start honing your craft for a lifetime of musical endeavors, I can help you on your journey!

I also enjoy reading, playing/watching sports (football, baseball and basketball mainly), watching/collecting movies, and enjoying all this life has to offer!

I have studied voice with several of Philadelphia Biblical University's top vocal instructors: Dr. David Shockey (3years), Dr. William Knowles (2 years) and Ms. Erin Holland (1 year). I have studied music education and piano with Temple and PBU professor; Dr. Debbie Wolf. My musical training is Classical in nature, but my experiences have led me to an understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of all musical styles from R&B and Rock to Jazz and Musical Theatre.

I also have extensive experience in directing and leading worship in formal and informal church services. I lead in both traditional and contemporary musical styles as well as direct the church choir.

Lessons are very laid back with a relaxed atmosphere. Diligent practice and focused instruction is still expected, but there will be no harsh judgement for mistakes.

In 6 months (if you take weekly lessons), you should expect to have a fundemental understanding of your instrument, the ability to read basic and intermediate musical notation, as well as the ability to play beginner and possibly intermediate songs on your instrument.

In a year, I will be strongly encouraging public performance in a recital setting.

I love all styles of music and I can help you in virtually any style you are looking to try. I specialize in church music, classical and most pop music styles (vocal). I also specialize in contemporary christian music styles (vocal and guitar).
