I started playing the cello at age four in my native country Albania. I had a passion for music at an early age. When I came to the United States I enrolled in a Performing Arts School in Philadelphia and went on to pursue a music degree from University of Delaware under the study of Lawrence Stomberg. There I had the opportunity to play in different ensembles like University of Delaware Symphony Orchestra and Blue Hen String Quartet. After graduating University of Delaware I pursued a master’s degree in cello performance from West Chester University. I am currently a member of South Eastern Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra and West Chester Symphony Orchestra. Also member of West Chester String Quartet. Faculty member at Music and Arts Center and Westtown School.

I believe that everyone that has a passion for music can learn how to play an instrument and become good at it. My students vary from age 5 to retired adults. I believe that music education is fundamental in any child’s life. I have the determinacy and experience to be the best teacher to any student of mine. I use different methods with different students because every student has his/her own way of learning things. For children I prefer to use the Suzuki methods because I have found them to be very effective. I believe that music is such a compelling phenomenon not only because it delights our ears but more importantly, because it reflects so strongly the landscape of our inner lives and I help my students bring that emotion and feeling to life. I help them achieve the highest music education they can get in playing the cello. I am very determined and encouraging and will bring a positive attitude to the lesson. I also help the students have fun as well as get the most out of their playing experience.

I teach Suzuki Method, also I specialize in classical and jazz music for intermediate and advanced students.
