Hello!  I am an experienced musician specializing in the guitar and piano.  I tend to focus on teaching principles that will help students become better songwritings and performers.  I have played the guitar and piano for close to 15 years.  I have participated in many different rock groups and I studied the piano at Brigham Young University-Idaho.  I am both classically trained and familiar with popular styles including rock, pop, and jazz.  I believe that music should be fun to play and listen to!  As a student, you will learn to play many things, but especially songs and pieces that interest you the most.

A student can expect fun and laid back lessons that encourage the regular daily playing of the instrument.  Although I am not a strict or stern teacher, I do expect a certain amount of dedication from students.  I believe that the best way to learn something is to WANT to learn it.  I try to develop this attitude in students.  After the first lesson, I will be able to determine a lesson plan that includes pieces and songs that are both interesting to the student and necessary for their development as a musician.  An appropriate amount of practice time will also be determined.  I look forward to working with each student that I have.
