About Me

Hi Potential Students,

I have been singing and acting my heart out since early childhood, which is where my love of music and musicals began. Growing up and hour outside of New York City, I saw my first Broadway musical at age 5. I have been hooked ever since.

By the time I started High School I had been in many shows, sang with vaious bands and spent countless hours at the piano.

After college, I started "pounding the pavements" of NY in hopes of landing my first big break. It didn't take long for me to realise that my feet weren't made for pavement pounding. I didn't like not knowing when and if I was going to work.  I didn't like not having a job to go to everyday and mostly, I didn't like not having any money. Uh oh ...a big stumbling block!

So, for awhile I felt really displaced. Then, one day a friend asked me to help her learn a song for an audition that she was going on. The hours flew by. I loved helping her learn the song, transpose it on the piano and giving her tips on how to make the song "her own". WOW...I knew what I was going to do with my life...Teach and Coach music and theatre!

I relocated to the Orlando area and spent ten years directing Children's Theatre, teaching piano and guitar and coaching aspiring vocalists. Every now and then I would perform with a band or in a play. Still, I felt happiest helping others find their place in the spotlight...(Hence, my headline for this bio)

While in Florida I met Scott, the love of my life. Today we are married and live here in Tennessee. We both love the area. Since moving here I have written and directed several plays (mostly for children). I teach piano and guitar and some of my young vocal students are going to "knock Nashville right off it's feet" in a few years.

I have a studio in Franklin and another inside a new music facility in Nashville. I work there on Saturdays and Thursdays.

So, if you are a parent of a child who has expressed an interest in music or theatre, or if you are an adult looking to get back into music etc., then, I may be the teacher for you. Take a lesson and see!
