Hi, my name is Jenny and I want to be your child's piano instructor! Originally from Indiana, I began studying piano when I was seven. I continued lessons throughout my childhood and beyond, totaling 15 years. In high school, I participated in the Indiana State School Music Competition and I was a recipient of firsts every year I entered.

After high school, my piano pursuits included playing for weddings, church services, piano recitals and teaching private piano lessons.

After getting married, I moved with my husband to England for 5 years where I studied under instructors with the Royal Schools of Music. I passed the Grade 5 Piano and Theory exams with a distinction and merit from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in London (ABRSM).

I am now located in Nashville and continuing my education from the Royal Schools of Music, with a plan of sitting the Grade 8 Piano exam and then the Diploma in Music Teaching exam from the ABRSM.

As a mother of two, I consider teaching children how to play the piano a privilege and I take the responsibility seriously. I would be honored to teach your child, and would make the experience fun and exciting, a real adventure!

I was a child student so I use my experience to teach other child students. I put myself in the minds of students to try to understand how they need the lesson explained to them. I teach methodically and logically, using the 'Piano Adventures' series by Nancy and Randall Faber, which is the number one piano method in North America. But I also look to each individual student's needs and interests in choosing additional curriculum. Your child will be playing tunes in no time under my instruction with persistent practice!
